Chapter 4: The Circle of Light
Embla was still sitting in the fork of the old elm when she suddenly found herself facing a delicate circle of light – a mystical blue and a gentle yellow, flowing from the spiral as if a breath of wind had set it spinning, and the light moved not like something external, but like a thought expressed in color.
It was an incredible event, unlike anything she had ever experienced – like a glimpse into a distant world that somehow felt familiar, and yet she was fully aware that she was still perched on the branch, between rough bark and open sky, held by the silence of the tree.
In front of her, the stone hovered, even though she held it in her hand, and the spiral glowed as if it were speaking – not with words, but with color and motion, with a rhythm that settled directly into her heart.
Then, in a single moment, the light vanished, and the smooth, flat stone lay quietly in her palm again, as if nothing had happened, as if the world had opened for a moment and then closed again.
Her heart beat restlessly, not from fear, but from the sense that something meaningful had occurred – something she could not quite grasp.
The magic was gone – so suddenly, it was as if it had never existed, and yet there was a resonance, an inner echo, that remained.
Embla gave a small shake, as if to loosen the silence that had settled around her, and she whispered, barely audible: “Am I dreaming?” “Was that real?”Not expecting an answer, for she knew that some questions are not asked to be answered, but simply to be heard.
